Cornerstone Bible Conference 2010

Featuring Dr. John C. Whitcomb, Jr.

 

Dr. John C. Whitcomb returns to Cornerstone Bible Church for this year's spring Bible Conference April 14-15.  This renowned scholar and author will be speaking nightly at 7:30 p.m. on the theme of Christ's return and his future kingdom.  Workshops each evening at 6:30 will address issues of contemporary concern to the church.  There will also be a book table featuring Dr. Whitcomb's books.

Biography of

John C. Whitcomb, Jr.

Dr. John C. Whitcomb has been a professor of Old Testament and theology for nearly sixty years and is widely recognized as a leading biblical scholar. He taught at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana from 1951 to 1990 and gained much recognition for his work on the The Genesis Flood (Presbyterian and Reformed Publishing), which he coauthored with Dr. Henry Morris in 1961. This book has been credited as one of the major catalysts for the modern biblical creationism movement. 

Among Dr. Whitcomb's other published works are The Early Earth and The World That Perished and commentaries on Esther and Daniel. Additionally, he has authored six widely circulated comprehensive Bible charts, numerous multimedia slides and more than one hundred biblical and theological articles. 

Dr. Whitcomb is president of Whitcomb Ministries and Christian Workman Schools of Theology, which provides seminary-level courses on DVD for use in colleges and seminaries and local-church based training. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife Norma. They have six children and seventeen grandchildren. His life and ministry may be summed up in this quote: "I want to be in the full-time business of finding out what God says and telling as many people as I can."

Other Speakers at this Year's Conference

Danny Faulkner is professor of astronomy and physics at the University of South Carolina-Lancaster. He serves on the board of directors of the Creation Research Society and has been a visiting professor at the Institute for Creation Research. He is the author of Universe by Deisgn and has spoken widely on biblical creation.

Dr. R. Jay Waggoner is senior pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Willow Spring, North Carolina. He has served in pastoral ministry for thirty years and has published a number of books, booklets, and tracts.
